Today I bought a new bike hoping to use it for a few kilometers every day - fifteen to start with. These few kilometer I hope would give me some physical excercise, save a little on my everyday carbon emissions and ofcourse save a little money for me - the fuel is pretty expensive these days
Yes, I bought a Firefox Target and apart from the good reviews and the color combination, I like the brand! Its too early for me to review it, but I would soon do it. The first thing I did after purchasing it is to ride to office for a photo.
It cost me about 11,000 INR which is less than my two months spend on gas, but is pretty expensive considering how a bike is precieved in India.

Hi,
I Was looking for reviews on Fireox bikes and ran across this post. How do you find this bike? I was thinking about buying one.
Thanks!
Anil
This is a great bike. I did not try other bikes so cannot really give you a comparative analysis - I did face a few problems with the crank (pedal) that started making a crackling sound, but that got fixed once I got it serviced. Otherwise it’s great - it’s light and comfortable too.
Consider that, unless weight of the bike is a very big factor for you “Firefox Cyclone” could be pretty much similar to this and if you are a little flexible with the budget then a “Trek 3700″ could be a better bike.
I think Cyclone costs about 1.5K less and Trek3700 costs about 2K more than Target.
I was a bit confused about a single speed cycle and multi speed geared cycles. I haven’t used bike for past 7 years and wanted to know whether today’s geared(especially firefox) is worth buying without any maintenance problem or I should prefer single speed firefox axis.
I am also planning to buy a firefox. I have one query? This model does not have any mudgaurds, will this be a problem in rains. I am from Mumbai and we do have an extended rainy season. Happy biking
